I have been doing that on and off, yes. It tends to wake her up when she sleeps, so I generally wait for her to be awake to do that.

[...but should he??? Should he???? Maybe he should do it while she sleeps, too... mmmm...]

I have certainly been making sure she drinks often, though. She has been doing her best on that end, though she does not want to eat much, necessarily.
