I did speak with a well-recommended nursemaid who should be in for a proper visit tomorrow, and she told me that babies do not truly appreciate them until a certain age, but it cannot hurt to have them waiting in the wings.

[there's also a rattle not unlike the ones typically carried by khalamari kids... and a mobile of normal animals of various kinds. So there's a little bit of everything!
