In fairness, her situation and yours are a bit different. She is too young to make choices for herself, and I can care for her until something suitable is found. You do raise a salient point, though, and I find myself concerned about being able to fully evaluate anyone who may be interested. I doubt anyone with ill intentions would leave the skeletons lying around their closets for me to see, after all.
